We took one trade during the afternoon session. The stop on this trade was 3 ticks as shown by the swing low on this chart. The target was only at 1 point because of the trade being near the close of the day.
We ended the day with 2 trades, a profit of $70.

4/25/11: Afternoon session trade results: 2 trades, $70 profit for day
4/25/11: Morning session trade results: 1 trade, $50 profit
We took 1 trade setup for 10 ticks profit, or $50. The chart is included below detailing the entry and exit prices.
In the next few posts I will explain in detail our setups, determining the strength of the setups, and proper trade management.
For example, during this trade, once price traded at 2373.75, we adjusted our stop to 1 tick above entry, ensuring a no-loss trade for us. There are 3 outcomes possible, profit of $5, profit of $50, or filling yourself at a specific price target. What we try to do is eliminate uncertainty as soon as possible, not leaving anything up to chance or emotions.
I will go more in detail during the upcoming series of posts that will detail our system and psychology.
I will leave you with this sentence to ponder about-
Nobody ever lost money taking profits.

4/21/11 Trade Results: $20 Profit
We ended the day with $20 profit.
Today was the day following a very overextended market to the upside due to earnings announcements, which we believe the expectations were set relatively low and firms are easily able to beat the estimates; resulting in short-term positive moves in the markets (combined with negative economic factors). We traded with caution today due to this thinking, and were not too active in the higher frequency of trading that we normally try to attain.
